"We decided to remodel our entire hone. We bought the home in 1998 and have never done any major work to it. We needed the kitchen, both bathrooms, flooring and painting. We wanted just one company to handle it all. After interviewing a few we selected Cal Green Remodeling. We had the pleasure of working with Shai. He brought a lot of great ideas that really made the process go smoothly for us. He handled all the permits and the dealings with the city. The team's attention to details was impressive. Shai was very attentive and involved. Our home is absolutely a work of art. We would highly recommend this company."

"Great communication, very professional and I feel I received excellent advice on how to deal with the hillside that was pushing against the fence, voila I now have a concrete retaining wall to guard against the natural movement of the earth in addition to a beautifully crafted redwood fence. The new gate reflects a true craftsman. Ron George got the job done ahead of schedule too! I would highly recommend Babylon Gardens."

"Tomer and Roberto have done a great job remodeling my entire house. The house has been completely transformed. It looks beautiful and functional. I appreciate most the quality they delivered but also the fact that they were always polite, accommodating and responsive to my concerns. This helps a lot as house renovation can be stressful with many big decisions to make. In terms pricing and pay schedule and scope of work they were fair and kept to the letter. I would recommend S&L for any remodeling project."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
