masonry hardscape, Landscaping Installations
"We live in San Carlos and recently completed a landscaping project with Manuel Salazar of Green and Rock landscaping. He's really great to work with: super knowledgeable, great taste in materials, good hardscape design, friendly and organized crew (they left the job site spotless every day). He's also a stickler for details and wants you to be 100% satisfied. We've hired him twice now. Both times he installed retaining walls, pavers, irrigation and lighting. His team also did the planting for us."

"Carrillo Landscape, led by Oscar Carrillo, did an excellent job on our front yard. The retaining wall is both sturdy and visually appealing. The fence provides a nice curb appeal and improved safety for our two young girls . The artificial turf is low-maintenance and looks great. Oscar is reliable, communicates well, and genuinely cares about client satisfaction. The crew worked efficiently, and the end result exceeded our expectations. If you need a cost-effective, and high quality landscaping upgrade, Carrillo Landscape is a solid choice. Kudos to Oscar and the team for a job well done!"

"I had a great experience working with Ron and Juan. We met and discussed my ideas. They demoed my old patio and slab and build a beautiful new one. There was ongoing communication throughout the process, very appreciative. I would use them again. I'd highly recommend contacting Ron and get a quote."

Get Matched With ProsProper drainage is crucial to prevent foundation and basement problems and to remove standing water in yards after storms. A popular style of drain that is installed to handle these scenarios is called a French drain (or weeping tile). It can also be installed to relieve water pressure behind retaining walls or divert water to a municipal storm drain or rain barrel.
French drains are actually named for Henry Flagg French of Massachusetts, a lawyer and Assistant US Treasure Secretary who popularized this style of drain in his 1859 book titled Farm Drainage. Unlike downspouts or open trenches, a French drain is a trench filled with gravel or rock that covers a perforated pipe. The pipe is wrapped in fabric to prevent sand, dirt, and rock from clogging the pipe. The water flows naturally through the rock and seeps into the pipe and is then rerouted to a better location. French drains can work for areas without any drainage currently, in tandem with gutters which reroute water from above, and even indoors if your basement isn't as waterproof as you'd like. Indoor French drains are installed in a trench along the perimeter of the foundation and the water is routed into a sump pump.
French drain installation is usually a job for professionals who understand the angles required for proper water drainage and who can identify a better location for the water that won't cause erosion and flooding.
